This past Sunday night, the Seattle Seahawks decimated the Denver Broncos to claim Superbowl XLVIII. Another team celebrating were the Dundee Hurricanes. The Canes annual Superbowl event at Dundee University Students Union saw over 500 in attendance for the game. In addition to the Superbowl itself, there was an American themed quiz and also a Predictor competition for the game. All in all, a four figure sum was raised on the night for the Hurricanes.
“We would like to thank DUSA for their continued support and commitment to the Dundee Hurricanes. Without them, we wouldn’t have had this fantastic night which will benefit the Canes in the year to come” said Head Coach Fraser Thomson. “There has since been a huge interest in people coming along to attend training and try out for the team. It can only bode well for the future.”
The Hurricanes are continuing their preseason training schedule, firstly on Wednesday night at 6.45pm and then Sunday at 10.30am. Anyone interested in coming along, get in touch!
